Two Tree Abstracts

During the summer we took the chance and went out to one of my favourite locations, a wild stream called Kotelinkoski to take advantage of the nice summer evening light and to (finally) photograph a tree which I noticed a few weeks earlier.

Despite the planning and an un-expected construction site along the road, we arrived slightly too late and the light on the tree was already gone and we chose to simply enjoy the evening and do some on the grilling in this nice place. While waiting for the fire to be right I decided to work on some abstracts of the beautiful trees along the river. The green of the grass and the warm colours of the trunks just worked out fine together and I’m rather pleased with the result.

More often than not, landscape photography is just about being there and simply enjoying the scene and being outdoors, and not getting the shot isn’t so bad either.
