Arctic Beach #2

April 2010, Tromsö, Norway Having arrived early in the morning in Tromsö, we head out in nice sunny and cloudy weather during the day. We have been here before and are little familiar with the area but our path today leads us to, at least for us, yet unexplored areas.

During the course of the day the weather clouds up quite a bit. Just in time for sunset to be precise. But still the light got a nice, cold and steely quality and was wonderful for quite some time. I pulled over the car when I spotted this beach. The beach itself consists only of broken shells and has with mix of white and black shells a wonderful contrast in it.

The water in this fjord is crystal clear and almost seemed to stand still and forms a wonderful line along the shore. After a few compositions the journey continues. Some other scenes are yet to be recorded.
